Are you a diabetes patient registered with the Nova Scotia Diabetes Assistance Program?

Note – the province is no longer registering new patients under this program. Existing patients keep their benefits.

Yes

If yes, you should be eligible to receive full public coverage of certain designated prescribed medicines and supplies related to your condition that are listed on the Nova Scotia Formulary. However, you will have to pay an income-based annual deductible, plus a 20% (per prescription) co-payment. There is no annual maximum. The formulary is available online and is updated regularly.
