The RCMP does not have a sophisticated formulary management system in place. Generally, members are eligible to be reimbursed for medicines available to provincial residents under their respective public plan formularies. When exceptions crop up, the national health services officer is asked to provide a medical review and recommendation. The Director General of Occupational Health and Safety will make a decision about medication coverage.
